St. Lucia - Transportation from The Inn to the Bay

Marigot Bay beach and all our 7 restaurants (JJ’s, Doolittle’s, Chateau My’go, RainForest Hideaway, The Shack, Hurricane Hole and The Boudreau) are located in the bay only a 10 minute walk from The Inn. But don’t worry if you don’t feel like walking. Free transportation from the bay to The Inn is available for the asking. It's part of the service we provide the guest in our own little hotel!

St. Lucia - Rental car, taxi water-taxi and public transportation

Taxis and water-taxis are a popular means of getting around. Drivers are well-informed and friendly, knowing nearly all the points of interest. 

At The Inn, we use Moses and Albert for all our tours, excursions and transportation from the airport (see below). 

Jean is in charge of our water-taxi service to Castries, Rodney Bay or Soufrière. There is no better way to enjoy the island!

For a real St. Lucian adventure, some of our guests like to use the local minibuses, the island's very unique public transportation. They are clean, frequent, safe and inexpensive.

Choiseul's Art Craft Center, Vieux-Fort's Light House, Cas-en-Bas' secluded beach, The Green Parrot Restaurant... if you really want to explore the island hidden treasuries at your own pace, the best way to do it is, without a doubt, by renting a car or a Jeep.

Car rental (sub-compact) in St. Lucia starts at US$60.00/day. Daily full coverage insurance costs US$15.00 and a temporary local driver's license is required (US $21.00). Please note that as this is a former British colony, driving in St. Lucia is on the LEFT!

Your car or Jeep will be delivered at The Inn's door whenever you need it... even for a one day rental! 

Our suggestion? If you’re tired after your flight, simply arrange to have your rental car delivered to the Inn the next morning, after you’ve settled in and rested up. Please note that all car rental companies at both airports close at 5:00 p.m.

Transportation from the Airport

After a long and tiring flight, it might a good idea to be picked up at the airport on your arrival. 

Mr. Albert Nicholas, our private driver, will safely drive you to The Inn. 

Even if you're scheduled on a (very!) late flight, he'll be at the airport, waiting for you. Just watch for a small sign with your name on it... you can't miss him!
